Welcome to my blog on the field of Adult Learning. The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and research on Adult Learning with a wide audience and to generate discussion on what I have shared.

The “Field of Adult Learning” is quite broad, and I will certainly not cover all of it. Here are some of my interests that you may expect to see posts on in the future:

  • Learning Management and Strategy
  • Instructional Design (and it’s parts)
  • Communities of Practice
  • Adult Learning Theory
  • Learning outside the traditional classroom
  • Personality Types
  • Cultural Communications
  • Social Networking and other Web 2.0 opportunities
  • Learning Technology/Tools
  • Learning in LMNCs (Large Multi-National Corporations)
  • Learning Philosophy (mine) – this might generate some heated debates!

I plan to post about once a week — this will likely vary some.

Yeah, Marc, you get “firsties,” but what would one expect?

Sally,

I am looking forward to the techie part of this blog. I have some definite plans and projects going on in eLearning in general, and adult training in particular that I’d love to “listen to others” on.

Great idea for a blog… looking forward to it.

Wino,

I have some unfinished thoughts on designing eLearning that I was working on for a webinar, I’ll work on that a bit more and post it in the near future.
